What A Kissel Is And How One Can Make It

there are many types of exiting dishes that people prepare. A kissel for example is a fruit juice dessert that may be taken hot or cold. This juice is got from natural fruits and then thickened using any starch and added other fruits to make it taste good.

It can be made either to be thick and applied on ice cream and pancakes or thin and drank like a normal drink. If it is thick like jelly, one can eat it alone. The reason why it is called kisel is because it is made of sour fruits.

This meal was discovered in Russia when they were under siege and could not get enough to feed themselves. They made them and hid them in the wells. When their enemies saw what was happening, they assumed that they were being fed by the wells and release them to have their freedom back.

A kisel is currently prepared from prepared mixtures which are available in different flavors. However, it was prepared by drying fruits like apricot and strawberry and crushing them into fine powder. This was then mixed with potato powder to thicken it. There are those who mixed it with water or any other liquid.

In simple way, one can prepare the meal by boiling the fruits in water until it has become thick. You then mix the potato powder in warm water or even boil them to get the thick paste. Add the fruit soup to the potato paste and any other seasoning that you have.

you should then season them. There are people who may add wine or sliced fruits to make kissel sweeter and with an exiting texture. You should finally boil it again and serve it hot or cold. Ensure you store the remainder in a fridge to prevent fermentation.
